Tips for Buying Kayak Airbags
Select from our range of the best kayak airbags. These are a safety essential for all river going boats.
Blow them up, and keep your boat afloat in the event of a swim. These usually purchased individually to make a pair. Two usually go in the stern of your boat, one either side of the centre pillar. Once fully inflated with air, simply close the valve and you're ready to hit the river.
If you capsize and swim from your boat, they will keep your vessel afloat by displacing water with air. This makes dragging your boat to the bank (self-rescue) much easier. Once at the bank, you'll have far less water to empty out so you can get going quickly again.
When selecting for your particular boat, make sure you get the right size. Smaller sizes are ideal for smaller whitewater boats, while the larger/longer sizes are better for multisport race boats.
